Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
HelpIndiaBreathe ("we", "us", "the platform") is a 0% platform fee medical and emergency crowdfunding service for India. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled — across donations, campaign creation, blood donor registration, volunteer applications, and general site use.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Donors: name (or "anonymous" if you choose), email, donation amount, and any message left with a donation.
- Campaign organizers: name, contact details, identity proof, and hospital-issued medical estimates submitted for verification.
- Blood donor registrants: name, blood group, city/state, phone number, and optional email — submitted voluntarily, without requiring an account.
- Volunteers and contact form submissions: name, email, phone, and the content of your message or application.
How we use it
Information is used to verify campaigns before they go live, process and display donations, connect blood donor listings to people who need them, respond to volunteer applications and contact enquiries, and to detect fraudulent or misleading campaigns.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Blood donor phone numbers are shown in masked form on the public directory — full contact details are never displayed publicly. Donor names are shown only if you don't choose the anonymous option at checkout.
Payment information
HelpIndiaBreathe does not store your card, UPI, or banking credentials. Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways, which have their own privacy and security practices.
Your rights
You can request removal of your blood donor listing, volunteer application, or personal data associated with a contact submission at any time by reaching out through our Contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page.
