Every campaign on HelpIndiaBreathe goes through the same verification process before it's visible to a single donor. Here's exactly what that involves.
Document verification
Organizers submit a hospital-issued medical estimate and identity proof for both themselves and the patient. Our review team checks that the hospital exists, the estimate is consistent with the stated condition, and the organizer's claimed relationship to the patient is plausible — typically within 24 hours.
The "Verified" badges, explained
- Verified organizer — identity documents have been checked against the claimed relationship to the beneficiary.
- Verified Medical Estimate — a hospital-issued cost estimate has been reviewed and matches the campaign's stated treatment.
Where a detail hasn't been verified — such as 80G tax-exemption status — we display it as pending rather than implying it's confirmed.
Public donor ledger
Every campaign page shows a real-time list of donors (or "Anonymous" where requested) and amounts, so contributions are visible and auditable by anyone, not just the organizer.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a campaign is misleading or fraudulent, contact us immediately via the Contact page. Campaigns under active investigation are paused while we review.
Payment security
Donations are processed through third-party payment gateways with their own PCI-compliant security standards. HelpIndiaBreathe never stores your card or banking credentials.
